The Book of James NIV
Copied / Illustrated by April Watson
Welcome. You somehow arrived at the small print of an obscure person's obscure blog's 3rd page. Thanks.
Here, I used my coarse drawing skills to illustrate my 2nd favorite book of all time.
Thanks for your time. <3

(Two flies lost their lives during the creation of this book).
The above picture was inspired by Hank Green's song about angler fish. I think that James (and maybe Hank) mean poor lowly peons find what they need somehow - it just happens. So maybe we who are "better" would be happier if we stopped trying so hard to rise higher and higher above their level. Jesus' examples were birds and flowers (Matthew 6:26-28). I think inheriting / seeking the kingdom of God is a tricky process because God is actually more humble than most humans, so God is not King of them. And they own a lot. So God's kingdom is full of more humble things.

(The flies in these pictures accidentally reenacted the events alluded to on the pages).
My friend is no longer in room #204.
Today, April 27th, 2017,
is his 43rd birthday.
My friend's best friend Steve created a storm-watch facebook group. As far as I know, it is still being lovingly maintained.
Epilogue
May 2017 update: My friend is often in stage 2 of his grief process.
He gets very angry.
I wish I could say I have been a hero to him.
The truth is, I'm just a punching bag.
Which is hard... but... yep.
June 2017 update: No anger anymore.
I now see:
I have no idea how to help anyone through a bargaining stage, either.
But... yep.

Flies recycle organic material like poop and corpses back into useful fuel for our ecosystem.
Flies also unknowingly transport bacteria
which can be dangerous
if pathogenic.
In summary, flies
do icky work
where they aren't wanted.
That's their job.
Actually,
my work
as a nursing home CNA
sometimes involves
poo, corpses, and bacteria transport, too.
